  • Provide evidence that you have at least $5 million of comprehensive general liability insurance covering your liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and/or flammable liquids operations.

These people will be our prime contacts for all emergency response assistance plan (ERAP) communications. (Guide for persons who have an emergency response assistance plan)

Once the required documents are received by ERAC:

  • We will work with you in Transport Canada’s online system, ERAP Online Services (EOS).

  • Transport Canada will issue you, the Plan Participant member, an ERAP reference number.

  • ERAC will provide you with supporting documents including your ERAP and appendices.

Fees and Costs

Your ERAP participation fees are based on your company's volume of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sales and volume of flammable liquids transported by rail, and geographic area of business. These fees are prorated to the overall costs of our annual operations.

If your company is involved in an incident and your emergency response plan is implemented, you must also pay your share of all ERAC costs upon being invoiced. Typically, these costs include our fees for personnel and equipment as well as their personal expenses.
